How much do individual introductory flights cost?

What are de Havilland Days, and how much do they cost?
de Havilland Days offer flights in both the Tiger Moth and Chipmunk aircraft:

Are gift vouchers available, and how long are they valid?
Yes, gift vouchers for individual introductory flights and de Havilland Days are available. They can be personalised and are emailed to you. Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
How can I purchase a flight?
You can buy flights from the online shop. Select your preferred flight experience, add any messages to personalise your voucher, and it will be emailed to you. Alternatively, you can call us on 01670 787 so a secure payment link can be sent, or payment can be made over the phone.

How do I book my flight?
Please call us on 01670 787 881 to book your flight. Flights are scheduled at a convenient time for you, but all passengers must book in advance. If you need to amend your confirmed booking, please provide as much notice as possible, preferably 10 days.
When are flights available?
Flights operate Thursday to Sunday from April to October.
Are flights weather dependent?
Yes, flights are weather dependent. If a flight needs to be rescheduled due to unsuitable flying conditions, we will contact you as soon as possible to arrange another date and time. Please refer to the terms and conditions. If you have booked a Tiger Moth flight but can't fly due to unsuitable flying conditions, you can (if the aircraft is available) switch to the Chipmunk. This will be discussed with you on the day if applicable.
What do the stated flight times refer to?
The stated flight times (30, 45, and 60 minutes) refer to the duration you will be in the air. The time on the confirmation email is your arrival time, allowing sufficient time for paperwork and a safety briefing. If you are running late, please let us know. Refer to the terms and conditions for cancellation policies and no-show fees.
Can I transfer my flight to someone else?
If you have paid for and booked a flight but can no longer fly, you can transfer your flight to a friend or family member. Please refer to the terms and conditions cancellation policies and no-show fees.
Are there any health or mobility requirements for passengers?
Passengers must be mobile enough to get in and out of the aircraft and be medically fit to fly. It is the passenger's responsibility to ensure they are fit to fly, as Tiger Flights is not medically qualified to give an opinion. We will do their utmost to accommodate passengers with disabilities or reduced mobility, as long as safety is not compromised. The pilot has the final decision.
Are there any age, weight, or height restrictions?
All passengers must be over 14 years old.
Maximum weight is 18 stone (approximately 114 kg).
There are no height restrictions.
All passengers must sign a declaration before flying.
What should I wear for the flight?
Please wear sensible clothes and flat, enclosed footwear. Tiger Flights provides flight suits, jackets, hats and goggles for your comfort. All loose items should be left at the briefing room, which are left at your own risk. Avoid wearing shorts, flip-flops, dresses, or high heels.
Can I take my camera up with me?
Yes, but we’d recommend you don’t. If you do want to take a camera up for your flight, it must be attached to you by some form of wrist or neck strap. The pilot’s decision is final on whether or not you can take your camera up.
Can I bring spectators to watch my flight?
Yes, you are welcome to bring family and friends to cheer you as you take off and land. Spectators must remember they are on a live airfield and must only go where directed by the Tiger Flights crew and airfield staff. There is an viewing area where they can wait.
Where is Tiger Flights located, and what facilities are available?
All flights are operated from Eshott Airfield, NE65 9QJ, just off the A1. Look for the Bockenfield Holiday Park sign, which is the turnoff for the airfield. Free parking is available. There is a café and a viewing area. The airfield is dog-friendly, but all dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times.
